“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” Colossians 3:23

Universal Children’s Day

Today we have celebrated UNICEF's Universal Children's Day, by letting the pupils in Class 4 ‘take over the school'.

The children have had the opportunity to reflect about skills and characteristics needed for various jobs, have written letters of application, had interviews and reflected about their experience.

Students filled a number of important roles in school. We have had children become teachers, planning and delivering lessons. Others have worked as teaching assistants giving classroom support. Children have worked in the kitchen, helping to prepare lunch. Four children arrived at school at 7.30am to open up as site managers. They have also done a marvellous job painting the school and fulfilling safety checks. Finally, four boys became the Headteacher today. They completed learning walks, did a book scrutiny and sent out a tweet.

It was been an amazing day. Well done all the children who took part.
