Designing and Creating a Willy Wonka Chocolate Bar
Children have been enjoying our current IPC topic of 'Chocolate'. This week Class 3 thought about the exciting chocolate bars that Willy Wonka created in our class book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate factory'. In literacy they created an exciting description about a chocolate bar that they had designed.
Children thought about the most suitable material to wrap their bar. Children melted the chocolate, turning it from a solid into a liquid. To make sure the chocolate remained shiny and appealing, children slowly added chocolate ensuring that it didn't get too hot or too cold. Children poured their chocolate into a mould and added their exciting ingredients. Finally children wrapped their bar with a wrapper that they had designed themselves.
After taking their work home to 'evaluate' children will use their bar as inspiration for for a room in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.
