“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” Colossians 3:23

World Book Day 2023

What a wonderful World Book Day we are having!

All classes have enjoyed an assembly, discussing the wonders of reading!

Children have explored the storybook, The Wonder by Faye Hanson, in a Philosophy 4 Children session, exploring how amazing our imaginations are.

Class 4 discussed the question - What would a world without imagination be like?

Class 4 and their reading buddies joined together to have a story time, with the older children reading their favourite childhood books to their reading buddies.

Class 2 discussed why we liked or disliked the story The Wonder, and if our imagination could ever run out?

Class 2 shared the books they had brought with the class, and a small group held a book club, discussing their favourite stories.

The Reception children enjoyed unwrapping the books that they had brought in to school today; each book was shared with a friend and then read out loud by the Year 6 children.

The Reception P4C session was based around how to be a good listener and what the word Wonder meant to us. Everyone wondered some really fascinating things!
