Dissecting Coprolite

Today, the Reception children dissected dinosaur coprolite (poo) to work out what diet they had. We found egg shells, grass, seeds and meat; once we'd broken down the pieces, we had to decide if the dinosaur was a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore. The children were excellent at using the correct vocabulary and everyone made really thoughtful observations.
