Ned The Hedgehog

Class: Class 1 Year: 2025 - 2026

This week, Class 1 started a project on hibernation using the story, 'It Was A Cold, Dark Night' by Tim Hopgood. The main character Ned the hedgehog is searching for a home for the winter. On Wednesday, a real Ned made an appearance at St John’s, searching for somewhere warm to call home. The children cared for Ned until he was taken to Lower Moss Wood. It was too cold for this tiny hedgehog to still be out and about, so the team at the wildlife sanctuary offered to look after him. Reception loved this incredible encounter, and we are very glad that Ned is being cared for so well.
