World Book Day 2026

What a wonderful day, celebrating all the amazing things about reading and how it can open up the world to us!

Class 4 have been writing poems all about the joy of books. We also enjoyed a reading session with our buddies, sharing our favourite childhood books.

Our Reception children have loved drawing and talking about their character spoons and reading the stories that inspired their choices. 

We all enjoyed our Secret Reader session where the children chose a book which was then read by a mystery member of staff.

The book swap was a huge success and everyone came away with a new and exciting book to read. 

Thank you to everyone for all the effort into making this day wonderful; it really has been amazing to see the children so inspired!
