Class 3 2025 - 2026
Mrs Steyn
A very warm welcome to our Class 3 page!
I’m Mrs Steyn, and I am absolutely delighted to be teaching this wonderful class of 29 enthusiastic and talented learners this year. We are also fortunate to be supported in our learning journey by the fantastic Mrs Heath, Mrs Howarth and Mr Di Marco.
This year promises to be full of exciting opportunities for growth, discovery and creativity. We’re kicking off the term with a brilliant book, The First Drawing, which will inspire us to write character descriptions, diary entries, and more. In Science, we’ll be exploring the fascinating world of light and shadows, while in History, we’ll be travelling back in time to learn about different historical Ages.
This term, we will be focusing on Peace and Compassion for our Christian values learning how to live these values both in and outside the classroom.
Each half-term, we also explore the Sustainable Development Goals and observe key Global Days, helping our children to become thoughtful and active global citizens.
Weekly spellings and homework will be sent home every Friday, and we kindly ask for your support in encouraging your child to read daily at home. Reading regularly not only builds essential skills but also nurtures a lifelong love of learning.
It’s going to be a fantastic year filled with curiosity, creativity, and community.
I’m really looking forward to everything we’ll achieve together.
