VE Day

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Our VE and VJ Day started this morning with a worship with Reverend Jenny, where we reflected about the significance of this important day.

Class 1- The Reception children have learnt about the life of an evacuee and then created Union Jack crowns and flags to celebrate.

Class 2- Following on from Year 2's letters, Class 2 have enjoyed making Union flags, crowns and learning about the significance of VE Day. 

Class 3- We made some medals that we would like to give to the soldiers after the war.

Class 4- We started our day by sharing family stories, and we watched a special docu-drama produced by the British Legion. We then wrote poems, personifying both war and peace, and we all made our own section of bunting.
